The RMS End of Year testing schedule is tentatively set! This year all 7th/8th grade students enrolled in a World Language (not NCVPS) will be tested on May 7th and May 22nd. Part 1 of the World Language test requires CORDED headphones for each student. If your student is in need of headphones or if you would like to donate a pair, please click HERE to learn more.

In addition, we will need approximately 20 proctors/hall monitors for each day of testing. A sign up will be communicated once dates are finalized. In advance of signing up please make sure that you are a registered CMS volunteer. Click HERE for more information. If you have any questions please reach out to Leah Clawson, RMS Testing Coordinator at leahd.clawson@cms.k12.nc.us.

Staff Appreciation Week
RMS will celebrate Staff & Teacher Appreciation Week May 6th - 10th.  Your PTO is working hard to ensure that all RMS teachers and staff feel the appreciation they very much deserve.  Click HERE to check out our Walmart registry for a wish list of needed items for the week. If ordering directly from the registry, items will be sent to the PTO, but if you'd prefer to shop in person, please drop off your items (in the main office, labeled PTO) by Monday, May 6th. If you have any questions please email info@randolphpto.com.  Thank you for your support - we look forward to celebrating our amazing staff next week!

8th grade families! Click HERE to purchase your student's 8th grade t-shirt and dance ticket! Shirts are $12 each and there will be a shirt-signing party for students during the final week of school. Tickets for the 8th Grade Social/Dance on May 10th are $30 each, and include dinner and entertainment. Both tickets and t-shirts will also be sold in person during 8th grade lunch every Friday, as well the week of May 6th - 10th. Contact Ms. Bethea at vassies.bethea@cms.k12.nc.us with any questions.

In addition, volunteers are needed to help sell 8th grade dance tickets and t-shirts during 8th grade lunch! Sales will take place every Friday for the next several weeks, as well as every day the week of the dance. Please help, it's just one hour! Sign up HERE!

Reality of Money Simulation
RMS will offer a "Reality of Money" simulation, hosted by the NCSECU, on May 6th from 9:30am - 3:30pm. We are asking for some additional volunteers to make sure the simulation is a success. Volunteers are asked to stay all day, and lunch will be provided. This simulation will teach the students valuable lessons about income, debt, budgeting, and how to manage unexpected bills. Click HERE to sign up and help make this program successful! For questions, please contact Dr. Pendergrass at nd.pendergrass@cms.k12.nc.us

Front Office Support
Calling all front office volunteers and those willing to volunteer! We just added Tuesday time slots to our sign up since that is when the front office is particularly short-staffed and could use some extra hands. It's a great way to contribute to our school community, and you'll meet staff, students, and other parents! The time flies, and you will make a huge difference. Volunteers are welcome ANY time. Grandparents and friends are welcome to sign up, too! Click HERE to sign up!
